Volvo To Begin Exciting New Project called Drive Me

Volvo is starting to implement a groundbreaking new project called DriveMe. The initiative will focus on the development of autonomous driving (AD) systems as part of the Scandinavian car company’s 2020 vision and hope that no one will be seriously injured or killed in a new Volvo.

“Customers look at their cars differently than us engineers,” said Erik Coelingh, Senior Technical Leader Active Safety at Volvo Cars. “So we are looking forward to learning how they use these cars in their daily lives and what feedback they will give us.”

Are Americans Ready for Autonomous Cars? The Survey Says…Sort of!

Ready or not (and truly the results are mixed), it seems that autonomous cars are the way of the future. So, in the interest of seeing how ready we as a society are for the implementation of autonomous driving, Volvo Cars conducted the largest online conversation about autonomous driving, the Future of Driving survey. The results are mixed, but certainly interesting.
