Unhappy Children in the Car? Use These Tips to Avoid Distracted Driving

You're in your car and your toddler starts having a temper tantrum because they can't reach their favorite toy that fell on the ground. This causes your infant to start crying. What do you do? Waving at your children won't stop the crying, and the behavior is also distracted driving, which can cause an accident. If you want to drive more safely, there are a couple of things that you can do.

First of all, make sure that your children have what they need to stay happy throughout the trip. Snacks and toys should be within easy reach, and you can even secure a couple to the car seat. Also, if your children start crying, pull over to the side of the road, a parking lot or a gas station to attend to them.

The same is true with pets. If you have a dog or cat that can't sit still throughout the drive, you need to secure them within a carrier.
