Check Out This Neat Regenerative Energy Experiment With the Volvo XC90

We may write a lot about the 2016 Volvo XC90, but if you've taken it for a test drive--in particular, the T8 Plug-In Hybrid--you'd know why it's so hard to stop talking about. With soft, velveteen handling, an interior fashioned of the finest leather, woods, and easy-to-use technology, it's a revolution in an already inspiring segment.

Of particular interest is the top-shelf T8 hybrid we mentioned before. With an electric motor mated to a 2.0-liter turbocharged supercharged inline-four, it delivers an astounding 400 horsepower and 25 miles of EV range. What's cooler still is what Volvo did with this tech and a regenerative highway in California. Using hydraulic planks, it repurposes spent energy to charge the car.

While it's easy to read about this model and fall in love, the behind-the-wheel experience is something else entirely. For that, we'd like to invite you down to our Volvo dealership in Hawthorne, NJ to drive one of our models at your convenience.
