Volvo Expands V60 PHEV Production Thanks to Huge Demand in Europe

Smashing goals, either personal, or business-related is a wonderful feeling. At Paul's Volvo, we're guessing that Volvo is high-fiving like crazy right now. Why? Because one of their newer models, the V60 plug-in hybrid (PHEV), has shattered expectations, leading to an increase in production for next year.

The new, fuel efficient model that can run for 32 miles on a single electric charge sold out of all 1,000 of the units made for the European market. Now, the automaker has decided to double its intended production goal for 2014 from 5,000 units to 10,000. That way, they can better serve the needs of drivers with more availability, and offer an exciting alternative.

Here in our showroom, we're getting amped for the arrival of the original V60, which has been around since 2010. It features many different engine options, and boasts style and comfort synonymous with new Volvo models. You know you'll be safe with Active High Beam and City Safety, but one feature we like is Sensus ConnectedTouch. This can integrate your Twitter, Facebook, and email feeds on to the infotainment system, which you can access through voice commands.

We'll update you with developments surrounding the V60 here on the Paul's Volvo blog, so follow us today. We also invite you to swing by our Hawthorne, NJ showroom, or contact us online anytime where we can discuss new models, answer questions and arrange test drives at your convenience.
